Mary G. Manley


Mary’s practice focuses on software licensing, IT and business process outsourcing, and commercial contracting.

Mary is a member of the global outsourcing and technology practice. She assists clients with the drafting and negotiation of a range of information technology-related transactions and commercial contracts.

Prior to joining Hunton & Williams LLP, Mary most recently practiced with a boutique Richmond-area firm focused on information technology and intellectual property matters. She was previously an associate with the Northern Virginia office of a Palo Alto-based firm and with the Silicon Valley office of a national intellectual property firm. She began her legal practice as an associate with McGuire Woods LLP in Richmond.

Relevant Experience

  • Representing clients in technology, health care, manufacturing, consumer goods and other industries with the documentation and negotiation of various technology and intellectual property-related transactions, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, software development agreements, trademark licenses and master service agreements.
  • Assisting with the preparation and documentation of IT and business process outsourcing transactions.
  • Representing clients in connection with general commercial contracting and procurement agreements.
  • Counseled individuals, start-ups and worldwide industry leaders in connection with trademark selection, clearance, prosecution, enforcement and licensing.
